Highest Quality Ratings
Our Centre has been rated as Exceeding the National Quality Standards in every possible way. We received a perfect score in all 58 elements from our last Assessment process.
All Child Care Centres which attract Child Care Benefit and Child Care Rebate to offset the amount of fees paid by parents, have been visited regularly over the last 20 years, by the national authorities for Child Care Quality. Over this time, both our Centres, Brooklyn Park Private Kindergarten and Childcare Centre, and Glandore Private Kindergarten and Childcare Centre, have always achieved a rating which exceeded the National Quality Standards.
The current Regulatory Authority is the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA). This is administered in South Australia by the Education and Early Childhood Services Registration and Standards Board SA. who send Assessors to visit and assess each Centre against the National Quality Standards, and ensure the Centre is complying with the Regulations under the Education and Care Services National Law.

The National Quality Standard contains 18 standards with two or three elements in each quality area. These standards are high-level outcome statements. Under each standard sit elements that describe the outcomes that contribute to the standard being achieved. There are 58 elements in total. A high emphasis is placed on children’s health and safety, and the educational program.
All staff must be trained in safe food Handling Practices. We are also subject to all the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, and we must ensure that children, staff, families and visitors are safe on our premises.
We continuously strive for improved quality in every area of our service. We have a Quality Improvement Plan which encompasses all of the above areas. This is a dynamic process driven by reflection on our practices, consultation with staff, children and families. We are constantly developing new quality improvement ideas and implementing them as a result of this consultative process. The Plan is available to all, and we seek feedback. To get a copy, just ask Kerry or Tanya.
We have a Policies and Procedures Manual, which was written to ensure compliance with all the Regulations and Quality Measures. This is available in the foyer for parents and staff to refer to. Constant review is part of our ongoing Quality Improvement. Staff and parents are asked to review all policies we write or update, and to make comments and suggestions. We value this parent input in process. Our Parent Accreditation Advisory Committee assists with discussions and critiques on every area of our operations. If you are interested in joining, please mention it to Tanya.
